Function：
shitake is called as Lentinan.Lentinan is an effective active ingredient extracted from the fruit of Lentinula edodes. shiitake Polysaccharides is the main active ingredient of Lentinula edodes. Clinical and pharmacological studies have shown that Lentinan has antiviral and antitumor effects, etc. Shitake also has functions of regulating immune function and stimulating Interferon formation. Lentinan is a polar macromolecule compound, its specific structure and immune activity is closely related.
At present, the solvent extraction of lentinan is using hot water and dilute alkali solution, it must avoid the strong acid, alkali solution, otherwise it's easily to break polysaccharide glycosidic bond.The commonly method of separating and purifying lentinan include four steps: boiling water extraction, ethanol precipitation, dialysis and column chromatography.
